Jan Lipavský

Jan Lipavský (* 2. července 1985) je Pirát, který se soustředí především na bezpečnost a zahraniční politiku. Pracuje například za vzniku zákona chránícího strategická odvětví české ekonomiky před ztrátou citlivých dat a knowhow. Kontroluje také činnost českých tajných služeb a zasazuje se o zachování jejich nezávislosti. Je Pražákem srdcem a duší, na Praze 6 se narodil a v současnosti tam také s rodinou žije. Studoval mezinárodní vztahy na univerzitě v Česku a v Anglii. Před vstupem do politiky rozvíjel kariéru v soukromém sektoru, například ve společnostech McKinsey & Company či ZOOT. Postupně se vypracoval do manažerských pozic v oblasti informačních technologií v bankovnictví. Členem Pirátské strany je od 2015. Na podzim 2017 jste jej zvolili z pátého místa kandidátní listiny jako poslance PSP ČR za Piráty v Praze.

Jan Lipavský (* 02.07.1985) focuses primarily on security and foreign policy. He is also a member of the parliamentary committee on defence and committee on foreign affairs. Among his areas of interests belong digitalization and cyber security, countering hostile propaganda and disinformation, screening of foreign investments, foreign missions and the EU Eastern Neighbourhood initiative. Among others, he is working on implementation of a law protecting the strategic sectors of the Czech economy from the loss of sensitive data and knowhow. He also oversees the activities of Czech intelligence services and defends their independence.

He studied international relations at the Charles University in Prague and at the University of Kent in the UK. Prior to entering politics, he developed a career in the private sector in managerial positions in the field of information technology in banking and marketing. He is a member of the Pirate Party since 2015. In the autumn of 2017 was elected as the member of House of Commons of the Parliament of the Czech Republic from the Prague district.
